New 2009 Pro V1 In Play at Kapalua

2009 is here which means it’s time to get back to work in the Titleist Tour Van as the PGA Tour season gets underway this week at the Mercedes-Benz Championship in Maui. There are 20 Titleist golf ball players in the field including first round leader, Geoff Ogilvy who fired a 6 under par 67.
Ten of the twenty Titleist golf ball players are teeing up the New 2009 Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf balls including:

Rumor has it that the new Pro V1x is a lower spinning ball similar to the 2005 X ball that so many people still love. Can you confirm the playing characteristics and if the new ball will be more in line with the ‘05 low spin version but with added improvements for 2009?
