Most of our players on Tour have a preferred iron shaft that they choose to stick with when transitioning to a new iron model. As such, we don't have a lot of feedback from the Tour comparing the Project X to the Dynamic Gold in the AP2 irons. The majority of our Tour brand ambassadors use X100s in Dynamic Gold and either 6.5 or 7.0 in Project X.

I'd like to know more about the Tour players preferring Dynamic Gold in the AP2 versus Project X. Specifically, what flex of DG (X100, ?) and what did they find comparing the Project X versus the DG as to why they seem to prefer the DG with that head.

Thanks!

Zach actually made the switch to the Mitsubishi Diamana White 73 in his 905R during the off season last year, and put it into play for the first time at this year's Mercedes Benz Championship in Hawaii. He came to see us at the Oceanside Test Facility last December and was fit into the Diamana shaft at that time. Zach's attack angle with the driver is a little on the steep side, so the more robust Diamana shaft did help him knock some spin off with the 905R. His new 909D2 spins even less, which is why Zach was among the early adopters of the new 909 drivers, gaming it for the first time at the John Deere Classic in July. He has tried all three 909 heads, and several different shafts, but his current gamer is the 8.5° 909D2 with a Diamana Blue 73X.

Thanks for the feedback. Zach's wedges are a 48-06, 54-12, and 60-V (the V grind plays with 10° of effective bounce). Marc's wedges are a 48-06 and TVD54 (10° of effective bounce) and TVD60 (8° of effective bounce).

Hi guys,

Can you provide a little insight as to the shaft change for Zach? I think he was playing a trusty Aldila NV in his 905R and now the Mitsubishi. To me, the Mitsubishi is a little meatier, so is Zach swinging a little faster or spinning the ball a smidge more with the 909?

I know Zach has been using the 695CB irons for a couple of years now. Just wondering how many sets he has gone through? Does he use a new set every year or does he stick with one set and use it until he decides to change models? Thanks.

It would be nice to get the wedge bounce specs in those bag reports. Thanks.
