What is the difference between the 5.5 shaft and the 6.5 shaft? I play stiff now, what is best?

I am looking at the AP1 irons and the AP2 irons. I am about a 13 handicap, and was wondering which one would benefit me. My irons are the best part of my game.

I have just ordered a set of AP2 irons, but I’ve been told the wait time is 10 weeks. Is this purely due to the high demand for these irons?

I currently use the 755 irons with 3985 stiff graphite shafts due to a shoulder accident which occurred several years ago. From a comparison stand point, does the 755 equally compare to the AP1 or AP2? Which shaft is comparable in a heavier weight graphite?
