Charley Hoffman featured this week on Golf Fitness Academy

On a brand new episode of Golf Fitness Academy, co-hosts Dr. Greg Rose and Dave Phillips are joined by PGA Tour winner Charley Hoffman to demonstrate a series of exercises to target the shoulders and ankles.

Hoffman, who won the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic earlier this year on the PGA Tour, demonstrates a shoulder routine to build strength and flexibility in the golf swing as well as a series of exercises and stretches to target the ankles. Hoffman, who damaged a tendon in his ankle years ago, continues to strengthen and rehabilitate both ankles to repair damage that was done and to prevent additional problems in the future. The episode also features several quick performance tips to help build strength, length and flexibility in the golf swing.

What’s in the Bag: Nick Watney

Titleist ambassador Nick Watney won the Zurich Classic of New Orleans for his first PGA Tour title, finishing with a 15-under 273 total and a three-stroke victory over New Pro V1 player Ken Duke. The 25-year-old Watney closed with a 3-under 69. Watney’s victory marks the third in four weeks for Titleist ambassadors on the PGA Tour following Adam Scott (Shell Houston Open) and Zach Johnson (Masters). The win is also the 11th this season for Titleist golf ball players, more than five times the nearest competitor with 2, and more than all other balls combined. Zach Johnson Answers Some Golf Ball Questions

We received a couple questions regarding Zach Johnson’s golf ball usage and its performance at The Masters, so we went straight to Zach for his video response when we caught up with him at the Verizon Heritage…

1) What went into Zach Johnson’s decision to play the New Pro V1x versus the New Pro V1?

2) I’d like to ask Zach Johnson if he noticed any differences in the normal distances he hit the golf ball due to the cold weather at Augusta and if so, how did he adjust to it?

Click here to see what Zach had to say.
